Easy Photo Frame - Privacy Policy

Overview

Easy Photo Frame is a photo slideshow application for Android. This policy describes how the app handles your data.

Data Collection

Easy Photo Frame does not collect, store, or transmit any personal data to external servers. All data remains on your device and local network.

Network Access

The app connects to SMB (Samba) network shares on your local network to load photos and videos. These connections are made directly between your device and your network storage. No data is routed through any third-party servers.

Local Storage

The app stores the following data locally on your device:

• Settings: slideshow preferences (display interval, transition type, etc.)
• SMB credentials: server address, username, and password for your network shares, stored securely using Android Keystore encryption.
• Photo cache: temporary cached copies of photos for faster display.
• Photo rotation: per-photo rotation preferences.

All local data can be cleared by uninstalling the app or clearing app data in Android settings.

Crash Reporting

The app uses Firebase Crashlytics to collect anonymous crash reports. These reports contain device model, OS version, stack traces, and app version. They do not contain personal information, photos, filenames, or network credentials. See Firebase Privacy Policy.

Permissions

• Internet / Network: required to connect to SMB shares on your local network.
• Network State: used to detect connectivity changes.
• Wake Lock: keeps the screen on during slideshow playback.
• Storage: required to access local photo folders (if configured).

Children's Privacy

This app does not knowingly collect data from children under 13.
